Hail Delaware! Hailstorm, that is...

Today was off and on rain most of the day. Then we got a surpise - we got some hail too! The biggest chunk was and inch and a half long. After the storm let up, we ran out to the store. On our way home the weather went crazy! Torrential rain followed by an astonishing volume of hail in the space of about 4 minutes. The hail was about marble sized and came down so thick, we pulled over and hoped for no windscreen cracks. (I'm sure I'll have a few hood dents when I look tomorrow). When we got back to our neighborhood, we were able to skid and slide on our street, there was so much ice! Fun! Alas, my garden took a beating. But after it was all done, we got a very pretty rainbow. And to end a crazy weather day, we got lightning touching the rainbow, and I was lucky enough to catch it in a photo!
