I was a 7-year Escape Artist

Yes, I escaped from parental leave in England on Ramsgate beach sand-filled cheese sarnie and goose bumps to the beautiful cub camps in tents wet soggy campsites - heaven!

Progress is slow in the young, but waved the Sea Scouts with promises of cruises on the Thames and the flight to the Swiss mountains, travel through France and Belgium in 1936 and a truck exercises with the Royal Navy coastal minesweeper until I finally managed to escape on my own bike with aEngine, on the other tour through Europe only to return to Dover broke on a box of 200 senior service where a gasoline Pack was immediately exchanged for a gallon, only to come home!

And charter flights arrived on the scene and a trip to the Costa Brava in a Super Connie was not to be missed as a first foray into the air with four propellers, April 1 if I could not afford wheeled machine with an engine.

Four wheels in the form of a 1954 Ford Prefect wasnext, but with guys with better wheels, I drove back south on the Costa in Spain and came close to a beach, but that seemed captivity - not escapism.

Captivity has taken the form of articles to escape on a fixed or Chartered Accountants for five years with only short breaks and weekends in my distress, but according to article ended, a period of adventure, appeared only on the creation of commitments and employers manage strangled not enjoy the extra week added tothe maximum allocation holiday but the jobs were in those days just so I took a few times.

To America to escape a would-be cowboy and country and western fan made plans to emigrate to Canada beckoned. Flight from England in the past Tilbury Docks at less than the historical Polish Ocean Lines Stefan Batory to Montreal was an 8-day experience of escapism. Overcoming Jet Lag in Montreal a while, but renting a giant of a car (Ford Galaxy) and go on Dundasstay with an old friend helped blur the trauma.

Ok, I've escaped, but what's next? Build an ark, consisting of a 1964 Ford Econoline, and a number of bedrooms for a tour of Ontario and the Prairies to the Rockies. Brit limited for several years as a shielded me from a number of weather concerns the height of the mountains and the desired temperature and insulation in a van anyway and who needs a hell for sleeping bag for temperatures below freezing? I have, but as I write,I think I have no damage to many cells. Escapism examined and a good feeling.

Luck was with me that I met with a big guy at the Benbow Western Museum in Calgary, which was a country singer / songwriter and pilots. The name, Cal Cavendish always brings back good memories of this visit and other occasions that we managed to meet in the coming years.

The beauty of being an escape artist was found in the people you meet on the street and those who stayaround for a while.

Finally, the West Coast reached with enough money for just one month or two has led to the flight rolled moths and found a job until sufficient funds has visited Nashville, Dodge City and The Alamo.

As long as escapism is your goal and you no deadlines are not met, then you can take your time and enjoy captivity as much as you can, I pretended to be offered on the west coast of British Columbia unlimited term potential, to trout filled lakes ( Then the)Mountain trails and wilderness, but the real wilderness is further north in the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Alaska, all beckoning and was the exact time of the Nahanni canoe, crossing the Pass and hiking in Denali Chilcot covered. Skiing, hiking, vanning and then head south to Nashville on several historic towns in the West and the books of Louis Lamour, as in a consulting job for the next escape.

The short time I spent in Calgary Cal Cavendish has convinced meI learn to fly and the 8 hours I had in Biggin Hill (of WW2 fame) and in the air to add. Weekend at the airport and now burning holes in the air and then cross-country trips meant Pitt tugboats Tail Flying Club. Some of my best so far escaped, with like-minded people that only the blue wing and wanted to escape a number of mountains and valleys, land at a small airport somewhere, just to sleep under the wing. A Cross-Country-air bar(The Almost Great Canadian Air Dash 1980) found me in 1946 Fleet Canuck with 25 other vintage aircraft positions from Delta Air Park near Vancouver to Prince Edward Iceland and landed in a bush fly Geraldton job offer from an old dude fly, but starvation wages. A great reminder of the flight back to northern states ragwing as our plane was waiting outside a severe thunderstorm was parked. The FBO saw our predicament and came to a Twin Beech from the hangar and wepushed our small aircraft .... what a guy!

Between the flying, skiing, hiking and touring Canada and the United States the idea of Australia and New Zealand came up with stories of great Kiwi fly-fishing and the vastness and remoteness of the outback of Oz

It's a funny thing, but I still remember the ticket price ($ 1700 CAD) for permission to return to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji (to 1977) was ... It's much cheaper, but it's no fun in the commercial airline linksFly.

is the size of Oz and the lack of people away from Sydney it easy for Escape Artists, and even little old New Zealand with more sheep than reasonable offers many remote areas with rivers running with feisty trout. Since 1977 I have returned many times and even had a house in Kiwi Land on a river with trout. Although the Aussie beer is too cold I'll be back much more time to a few miles of dirt in the outback and go to the Tasman coverIntroduction of a fine dry fly to a hungry Brownie.

In the early 1980s led to boredom with Canada travel, so in Europe for a number of business opportunities and lifestyle between southern France and London, but not before a safari in South Africa, waved a beautiful drive through the Karoo in the Cape and even the Garden Route with a Blue Train. Life continued swiftly with a beautiful stations in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, England, Scotland and Scandinavia and the satisfactionwas established, but a whining and nagging phone call from Canada put on a business problem and the possibility of my European escapism unwanted return troops to the company that supports my lifestyle handle escape artist paid, but not before I was able to get my father to Egypt take one day at the Concorde, unforgettable!

And then, after sorting out the company indicated that the bloody lunatic (Sadaam / Kuwait) take the keys and changed the course of my stuff more durable, butremains was intermittent, but taken with my escape artist skills of taxpayer time out of harm's way by counting Tax Day country.

One must, however, Plan B, and Y but not Z! Because I was not too far away from the problems I had to escape in a different way. Back in the bush, mountains and back roads of BC, the North Canol Road, Yukon, NWT and Prudhoe Bay in Alaska and then down the Baja in Mexico. In canoes, float planes, rafts, hiking boots, skis andeven a feeble attempt to reach helicopters fly (I'm on this challenge and back) and of course regular trips to the South Seas stopover in Tahiti, Fiji, Cook Islands, a private yacht charter in the Whitsunday Islands and a bit in windjamming Caribbean.

A great two months in 2001, a 1973 Mercedes and a 1956 Austin A90 from Rio de Janeiro to Lima, to Tierra del Fuego and back to Rio to participate in a 15,000 miles Classic Car Rally(Try it on hero.co.uk). This adventure makes me really want to go back to South America, but a little slower, a few rivers for fishing, hiking, mountain trails and take only a few that shine.

IMO it is important to EA, appropriate getaway have such over the years I have prepared my escapes have some nice wheels, like a Jensen Healey Interceptor, Triumph TR8 down the Pacific Coast Highway and to France, Spain, Portugal and England, Ferrari 348 Modena SpiderItaly via France and England on the QE2 to New York to Kentucky and parked over to Santa Fe and all points in the north and of course for one Briton, one bite.

I've been to the beauty of England with the Moors and Dales, the Welsh mountains (hill anyway!) And the joy of finding some real traditional pub with great beers on tap rediscovered and I know I need more and more of this kind of escapism.

Escape artistry, the establishment of offshore companies, andBank accounts and pulls with a dual nationality deprivation and poor publican in our governments and of course the standard of living of the inhabitants of this offshore locations to improve.

wait if EA, who escaped early thing, as to them financially are fixed put and then "do a runner" I did it, the highs and lows of accounting, auditing, consulting, management, entrepreneurship (including the attempt to over-enjoy the developing unit generator) and now - theInternet. Good and bad employees and partners and gone, some venture works well and others, well! I am very happy that I always had good health, because without them it is hard to do, but like the bunny I want to go on and on and wear. I never forget that I am one of the lucky generation that I never go to war and costly years'm like my father and uncle to lose. I wanted to try, and the Royal Air Force, but because of poorI could not find vision, recruiting office and as I suffer from mal de mer of the Royal Navy would not have me and the army would not let me start out as a general.

Travel is still the key to my flight, and everywhere I've beckons me to return, but I have a few places where I need, such as Newfoundland and Labrador, Greece and visit Christmas Island for bone fish.

In my flight plan is active, rather than tattooed on my body, I had themavailable on the Internet through a new, direct the traveler to know me as fairer rates for the tour operator or travel agent expert. This project keeps me busy and offers a challenge for the options, even his business to escape artist. " Using an Internet business from your laptop anywhere in the world. I can not tell where my laptop, but it is the work TopTravelSites.com from somewhere, somewhere, somehow, at any time of day orAt night.

So, a nomad with a laptop and a Wi-Fi is a good chance that EA lifestyle, both in the United States, United Kingdom, Europe or Australia, New Zealand, a number of exotic South Sea island or wherever also choose how to live your flight.

Adieu, Adios, aurevoir and Cheers. Why not go there because this nomadic FCA (Chartered Accountant), PT (frequent guest), EA (Escape Artist) and WWW (toptravelsites.com). Is not it nice to letters behind your name?
