Paul Louis Norton, 79, for years Gayle Ronan Sims Inquirer organizer Staff Writer Paul Louis Norton, 79, a venerable WPVI-TV channel 6 (ABC) for the transmitternearly 40 years, died Thursday of a stroke at Christiana Hospital. He Lewes, Delaware, retired in 1997. Mr. Norton came to Philadelphia in 1959 when DJ and producer for Wfile-AM radio. The following year he was on channel 6, where he engaged in entertainment, news, public affairs and worked as an announcer station. Mr. Norton reported on-the-air news, sports, weather and hosted the game programs, money, Movie, The Morning Movie, Racing, and time. He cohosted The Street Where You Live byLarry Ferrari, Dolls and Dollars with Al Meltzer, and a morning show with Connie Roussin. Starting in 1972, and for the next 20 years, Mr. Norton produced and hosted a number of programs, prospects for human interest stories for Channel 6th He reported from many countries and even an interview while donating blood a pint in the air, his son Michael said.
